I tried OCR scanners, and they didn't work. Econtact is using manual transcription.

You have to buy packages of cards, but I found it is more than worth it for accuracy.

Re: iPhone App Review – Business Card Reader

Sorry, I wasn't able to reply directly to your post before -- see my suggestion above.

Cheers,
Paul
www.Networking-2020.com
www.Bfriendship.com

Re: iPhone App Review – Business Card Reader

Eric, you can take a look at www.CardScan.com or www.NeatReceipts.com to see if they have anything. I'm working on some content on how to deal with business card overload...

Cheers,
Paul,
www.Networking-2020.com

Re: iPhone App Review – Business Card Reader

Hiiiiii
The "Text On Card" I've got from iTunes , and the result is pretty good.

joseph
smart card

Re: iPhone App Review – Business Card Reader

Hiiiiii
The "Text On Card" I've got from iTunes only $1.99, and the result is pretty good.

joseph
smart card

Re: iPhone App Review – Business Card Reader

Is there technology out there like this for a home scanner/printer? I would like to be able to put one card on the scanner and scan it into a website and have it do the same thing (add all the information off the card and into appropriate fields).

Re: iPhone App Review – Business Card Reader

The "Text On Card" I've got from iTunes only $1.99, and the result is pretty good.

Re: iPhone App Review – Business Card Reader

I just go WorldCard Mobile on iTune and only $3.99. I loved it!

Re: iPhone App Review – Business Card Reader

The Samsung Omnia also has the Smart Reader application which scans business cards. I just tried it and it worked reasonably well. It recognized the name, work phone, fax phone and E-mail address of the person (although it didn't separate the name into last, first, middle). The job title was put into the company area and had some typos (and some missed words, but he has a really long title).

Steve
