I'm sorry, but until a phone with all the features of an iPod Classic, all the features of a Zune, all of the smartphone things, and a supersized battery to handle that for at least two days comes out, I will use a separate mp3 player.

Yes, I have to carry one extra device, but it's worth it. That device is for one sole thing: music (and the occasional movie). I don't have to waste battery on anything else. If I used a phone, I would have to listen to just enough music to get me through the day on a single charge. Now, I do use my phone as a backup mp3 player. If my Zune dies, I can plug into my phone and get going.

The only phone I had that could double as a full mp3 player was my BlackBerry. It had a battery that could handle it, plus nice music management, cover support, and video support. Although I can't fit my entire media library on a 16GB card (I could fit all my music though), it made a great mp3 player. Other phones I've had have not compared to my BlackBerry. Not even my iPhone.

I use my FUZE for playing MP3s, with bluetooth stereo headphones.
while I like the convenience of having one device, if I were a real audiophile with lots and lots of music, I might think differently
